What a great last week in Utah! At the beginning of the week we came to the realization that we hadn't accomplished everything we wanted to in the prior three weeks. Needless to say, our week was pretty crammed. One of my favorite things about going back to Utah is all the great restaurants. And since I still can't fully chew due to my wisdom teeth coming out, I didn't get to eat nearly as much as I wanted. But I think my waistline will thank me for that.
Monday we took Lynlee swimming again - this time with my family. It was super fun as always. Lynlee is really starting to love swimming. She kicks a whole bunch and loves splashing. She doesn't even care when she gets water on her face. It's so fun to watch her.
Lynlee loved splashing with Grandma!
Nikki and her kids. Me and my sad smile. My face was still swollen from getting my teeth out. |
Parker on the climbing wall next to the pool. He got that high all by himself! We were all so impressed. |

Tuesday I spent all day with Nikki and her kids. We did some shopping and then took Lynlee to her very first movie - The Muppets! She did a lot better than I expected. When she first saw the screen her eyes got so huge!! But she actually really liked it. She was really hungry when we first got there, so that helped. Then she fell asleep for most of it but woke up for the last 20 minutes and just sat and watched it. She's such a good little girl!! And the movie, by the way, was hilarious. I went into it with zero expectations and loved it!! Later that night after I got back to my parents house Lynlee decided to go for a ride on our dog, Annie. Here's the video for that:

This was also on Tuesday. Right before going for a ride on Annie. She LOVES that dog! |
Thursday we went tubing at Gorgoza park with Ainslee and Nick. I had a freaking blast! I completely forgot how much fun it was. And the older you get, the better because there's more weight on the tube, which makes you go WAY faster and catch air on the bumps. SO fun. On a few of the runs we decided to go down all four of us. The next video is of that experience. Thursday night I went to dinner with my good friend Kylie! Love her :] We had so much fun, like we always do. And laughed pretty much the whole night, like we always do. We had dinner at Costa Vida and then dessert at Olive Garden. It was our own little tour of Layton. Haha. We're nuts, but we have fun ;]

Hailey in the locker. She's five. Addyson in the locker. She's three.
After swimming we decided to go eat at Cafe Rio, always a good choice. Then that night my mom, dad, Kristin, Jaron, Markham, and I all went to Pei Wei for dinner and then to see Jim Gaffigan (if I have to tell you he's a comedian, we're not friends). He's like my favorite. He's hilarious and clean (two most important things :] ). The show was amazing and Kristin and Jaron and my parents all loved it. Afterward we dropped Markham off at his friends house so he could hang out with them one last time and then went back to my parents and went to bed. The next morning we had to be up at 430 to make our flight. Saturday was a pretty miserable day. We flew from SLC to Denver, in which I expected a small plane. Then from Denver to Pitt I thought we'd get a movie, but it was an even smaller plane than the first one! It was so awful. But at least Lynlee was good on both flights. She's a pretty professional flier by now. Then after getting to Pitt we had to drive two hours to get home. I hate living so far from the airport. It's pretty awful.
So far I've had a pretty great week, though. I mean, really it's been nothing special, but it's just so nice to be back in my own house. With my own items. And my own bed. I even missed doing my own housework. (pathetic, I know). And we came home to a foot (at least) of snow.
Our porch. As you can see, it was still blizzarding and we had to make a path to get up to the door. and my car, along with a couple of my neighbors, is completely buried. |
Our back porch. That's our grill, and the thing in the back is Markham's scooter. Completely buried. |
She never falls asleep without one of us rocking her, and being swaddled. Guess she was too tired this time. I set her down to do my hair and came back to pick her up and she was out. |
This is how she fell asleep in the car |

There she is!! |
I cannot believe she can stand against things! That is so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't the same Sunday without you guys. I miss having Lynlee around so much. She looks like a one year old in those pictures where she is standing up. She is so cute in all of them!
